Update
We regret to inform you that we need to extend the upgrade window by an additional 3 hours. This extension is necessary to address a metric issue.

As of now, we have successfully completed the upgrades for the Regional Edge and Global Controller components. However, during our checks, we identified an issue with our metric system's ability to address an issue with F5XC metrics module. Consequently, you may experience inaccuracies in the metrics displayed on the console, and the CE health score might show as 0 due to this problem.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Our dedicated team is actively working to resolve this issue as swiftly as possible to ensure the smooth functioning of our services.

Update
As was previously communicated we will be adding new IP ranges to our RE after the March 26th upgrade. If you have configured IP filters on your side to only authorize traffic from the F5 infrastructure, please add the following ranges.

The new IP range(s) may be used starting from March 26, 2024:

Asia 159.60.170.0/24, 159.60.172.0/24
America 159.60.174.0/24, 159.60.176.0/24
EU 159.60.178.0/24, 159.60.182.0/24

Scheduled
We will be extending planned maintenance window of F5 Distributed Cloud services as follows:

Schedule:
• Start Time: March 26, 2024 - 1:00AM UTC (Instead of 4:00 AM UTC)
• Estimated Completion Time: March 26, 2024 - 11:00AM UTC

We will perform the planned maintenance activities as described in our earlier communication on March 13, 2024 (and duplicated here for convenience)

Activities:
• Upgrade Global Controller to the latest software version.
• Upgrade Regional Edge (RE) sites to the latest software version.
o Software of the RE sites are upgraded in a rolling update manner, ensuring no disruption to Distributed Cloud services.
o Rolling updates are performed on batches of RE sites, where each batch includes a set of geographically distributed RE sites.

Impact:
• All services are expected to remain operational and available during the entire maintenance window with no noticeable impact. This is achieved by removing the RE site from the anycast network, before starting the upgrade, thereby causing the traffic to be re-routed to other available RE sites in the region. As a result, data plane services will continue without interruption except if tenants have a hard coded dependency to a specific RE site.
• Management plane configuration changes will continue to be recorded and actively propagated during most of the duration of the upgrade, except during the time period when Global Controller is being upgraded or during the time period when customers’ config-path RE site is being upgraded.
