Outage of Customer Dashboard and some of our Public APIs

Resolved
Due to a software bug in one of our backend microservices (responsible for generating PKI certificates), a limited number of our APIs were unable to connect to this backend service. This resulted in RBAC errors leading to limited access to the customer dashboard and some of our APIs. Our automated alerting system notified the SRE team and the software was patched by our development team within 30 mins and rolled out to our global network.

None of our customer applications, networking, or security services were impacted by this outage.
